He Pae Mataara is our protection framework. It has guided Te Wānanga o Raukawa throughout the pandemic and continues to guide us through every emergency response situation that may impact on our ability to deliver our services and support our immediate stakeholders.

We moved together through the pandemic, facing many new challenges. Our kaupapa guided the development of tikanga to keep our people safe. The implementation of tikanga including rāhui, as was the case with Te Āhuru Mōwai, is intended to provide protection. While many of those tikanga have now been removed, they can also be reintroduced should circumstances dictate. The well-being of our people will determine any decision in that regard.
Our core business to deliver teaching and learning is a priority and students affected by any emergency situation should make contact with their academic whare for support. Kia mataara! All students should be prepared to revert to full online learning if an emergency dictates.
