Kia Māori te titiro ki te ao

Our qualifications are aimed at developing and nurturing our people's sense of identity as Māori while giving our people the necessary knowledge and skills of a particular industry, advantaging you in the Aotearoa workforce and beyond. See through a Māori world view as you learn to integrate Māori knowledge into all aspects of your life.

All our qualifications are embedded with mātauranga Māori and most of our qualifications offered at diploma level and above include compulsory iwi and hapū and te reo Māori studies. These further enhance the knowledge you are gaining through your specialised studies and allow you to develop manuscripts for your whānau while increasing your capability and confidence in te reo Māori.

All our Poupou (certificates) are offered FREE to NZ citizens and permanent residents and are a great introduction to Te Wānanga o Raukawa and our learning platforms.

Study with Te Wānanga o Raukawa:

  • NZQA recognised qualifications from certificate to masters.
  • Learn or develop your reo Māori through every programme offered.
  • Reconnect back to your marae and whānau through Iwi and Hapū Studies.
  • Blended delivery means you don’t need to live in Ōtaki to study with us.
  • Education and Teaching programmes are Teach NZ study awards eligible.
  • Noho style and blended delivery offers study that fits around you, your whānau and work commitments.
  • Begin your studies with our one-year Level 5 Heke (diploma), the first year towards your bachelor degree.
  • Students are accommodated and fed while attending residential seminars on campus.
  • Free pick up and drop off from local bus stops and 24 hours security while on campus.

We regularly review our qualifications to keep pace with our changing environment. In 2025 we look forward to offering short, micro-credential courses. Whāia e koe te iti kahurangi ki te tūohu koe, me he maunga teitei!
