Learn how to make taonga for your whānau, hapū and iwi through the creative medium of carving with Toi Whakarākai (Whakairo) and Te Whare Pora (Whatu/Raranga) weaving or express yourself through the medium of Whare Tapere, literary Māori performing arts. These very practical qualifications will keep your whānau stories alive through song, movement or taonga while learning te reo Māori and undertaking iwi and hapū studies. Learn from home while attending regular noho in Ōtaki and online.
These qualifications can be thought of as a triple major with 50 percent of the qualification focusing on the specialisation and the other half divided evenly between te reo Māori and iwi and hapū studies.
