The pre-season netball tournament wrapped up on Sunday, April 13, at Te Wānanga o Raukawa’s Ōtaki campus.
Pre-sales were at an all time high with all sessions being sold out prior to the games. It was an extremely busy weekend with all sessions having maximum attendance.
It was a fantastic weekend celebrating women in sport. More than just about winning, the weekend was about coming together as teams, creating meaningful connections, and embracing new experiences. On Saturday evening, the teams shared a special whakawhanaungatanga session, where they learned a new waiata composed by the late Sam Doyle, led beautifully by Sam’s daughters.
