If you are passionate about mātauranga Māori and would like to help others to see the world through Māori eyes, then this is the job for you. Heke Mātauranga Māori is the first year of the degree qualification, housed within Te Whare Kōkiri a position has now become available for a tutor to deliver to our year one students.
The ideal applicant will be confident in te reo Māori, have completed this qualification or higher (or similar) and be experienced in delivering in the online and face to face classroom environments. To flourish in this role, you will be highly organised, a master of extracting mātauranga from others and be able to think outside the square as you plan, prepare and deliver mātauranga in an engaging, interactive way.
You will work closely with your Kaihautū, fellow pūkenga and kaimahi from other areas to ensure students have an experience that will bring them back for year two and three of the qualification.
