Te Wānanga o Raukawa provides scholarships to assist students studying with us in 2020.
Students from any iwi may apply however, preference will be given to members of Te Āti Awa (ki Whakarongotai), Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga. All students are encouraged to apply.

Open to full-time (or part-time at least .5 load) undergraduate or postgraduate students at Te Wānanga o Raukawa, except teacher training students and TWoR staff.
Kura and college students are not eligible. TWoR students who receive any other fees scholarships or other major (over $3000) scholarships or who are eligible for TEC fees free may not be eligible for this scholarship.
Purpose
The purpose of the scholarship programme is to encourage and support students to undertake higher level studies, at diploma or above, at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
Value
$3000 for full-time students. For part-time students studying more than a .5 load the value reduces respective to the study load.
Closing date
March 2020.
Additional information
- This scholarship is a contribution only towards the study fees at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
- The scholarship is conditional on fulfilment of all study requirements of the programme.
- Where requirements are not met the recipient may be required to repay the amount of the scholarship to Te Wānanga o Raukawa in 2020. If students are not progressing satisfactorily the second instalment may not be paid.
How it is advised/paid
Payments will be applied to the 2020 fees in two instalments (mid year and end of year). More information about payments will be provided in the approval letter.
